This listing is for one wheel thrown espresso cup/cache pot featuring a matte white glaze on speckled clay that has been finished in genuine 20 karat gold.
Inspired by some lidded espresso cups that I came across in Rome. I always thought the addition of the lid was ingenious as it keeps the coffee hot while it travels to the table, and looks adorable!
These little cups can be use for espresso, shots, or aperitifs. Or use them to hold little trinkets or jewelry.
Each piece is one of a kind and made by hand. This mug began as a humble ball of clay that has been shaped on the wheel, trimmed, fired, waxed, glazed and then fired again.
Measures approximately 2.5 inches tall x 2.5 inches wide
Holds approximately 4 oz
Care: dishwasher and microwave safe, although hand washing is recommended to extend the life of your ceramics.
Why handmade? For me, handmade pottery is a representation of slow living and minimalism. Forged from natural materials and shaped by the hands of the maker, each vessel reminds us to think about the origin of the piece and how it came to be in our hands.
